love this brush. I've always paid well for a good brush and this brush is the best I have ever bought. It comes with a few bristle replacements in case one may fall out. This is an indulgence that you should not pass up...

Originally, I have had these brushes, a large and a small ones, for several years, and I have also ordered them for gifts. They are the absolute best. The reason I can only give them four stars this time, is because they are not quite as solid, as firm to hold as the older ones were.

This is my third Widu hairbrush and I love them. The Widu feels good brushing through my hair and doesn't scratch my scalp. It also doesn't build up static like plastic bristles do or feel harsh, like many other brushes. I look forward to brushing my hair instead of dreading it! 2 big thumbs up!

I purchased my WIDU hairbrush based on your recommendation over 20 years ago. I have enjoyed using it everyday. I am now gifting one to my daughter who is now in college. I hope she has 20 years of enjoyment too

This brush feels FABULOUS on your scalp. I brush my hair with it every morning and evening. I'd hoped it would catch the stray hairs that I seem to be dropping everywhere, but the bristles are too far apart for that. The boar bristle brush I bought a while back catches the hair, but I have a hard time getting all the way through my hair with it, even though my hair is fine. I don't use this brush for styling my wet hair, but I use it to brush my dry hair. Sometimes I'll use it just because it feels good.

Love the brush I bought years ago but it is falling apart so time to finally get a new one and will try the comb too.

A magic brush, the most comfortable one I have ever. It is light weight, super soft and combs very smoothly through my hair. I bought one for my daughter-in-law so she can enjoy it too. You have to try it to believe it.

This is the most comfortable hairbrush I've ever used. The travel size is handy also. Using it as a travel brush does tend to knock out the bristles so having extras as I do is very helpful.

I like both of the wooden brushes. For some reason, the smaller version feels better to me even tho' my hair is relatively thick and I usually prefer bigger brushes. I will get another small one the next time. Both good purchases.

OMG!!!! That's the first thing I said when I brushed my hair for the first time with the Widu wooden bristle brush. This is not just a brush people. It's an instrument of peace! I say that because I have long thick curly hair, and I usually can't get a brush through to the bottom without running into tangles and knots, breaking off my hair, etc. This brush is so kind to your hair, no breakage and it glides through to the ends! Also, it's a total head massage too! No other brush has made my entire head feel like I just stepped out of a spa massage treatment. I LOVE this brush and will never use anything else.

I love it! Feels very good on my scalp, hair is not electrified - just a very good brush. Bought one for my sister who has shoulder length natural curly red hair - just the opposite of my thin, straight hair - and she also is very happy with it. I bought her the bigger brush recommended for thick curly hair and mine is the round brush. Do not regard them as expensive since I will probably never have to buy another one, or one every 5 to 10 years will be well worth the price!

Your Widu brushes are the BEST! I have one here, another in my original home in Switzerland, and a small one for travelling back and forth.

Exactly what we were looking for. Nice job of styling without pulling or breaking hair. Soft rubber base makes it comfortable on the scalp. Highly recommend

I bought a similar wooden brush in Spain in 1995, and I've been looking for another for years. I was so excited to see this one in the Isabella catalog. I'm so happy with it that I also just put in an order for the larger one.

This is the world's best brush. I have one at home and one in my glove compartment. My daughters each have their own. My boyfriend tried mine and loved it so much that I bought him his own. Similar wooden brushes are sold in health-food stores, but they are NOT the same as the Widu!

I bought this for my daughter because her hair is breaking and damaged. She says it feels really good and doesn't pull her hair at all. She is hard to please and she likes this brush.

I love this brush. It treats my hair gently, feels good on my scalp, and is very easy to clean out hair that gets caught in the bristles. While an expensive brush, it is by far the best one I have ever used and well worth the investment!

Loved the small size Widu brush -- indestructible in the harsh purse environment. So must have full size one.

It works nice on wet hair but not good for styling. Need different style brush for that. It feels good on my scalp.

Love this brush!!! Buying another one as a mother's day gift for my mom. She was visiting and tried to steal it!!! The wooden bristles massage my scalp and make me feel all squishy...

I'm replacing a Widu brush - the best hairbrush I have ever used. I enjoy the scalp massage every time I brush.

Recently I bought the Widu Wooden Bristle Brush. I have long naturally curly hair and quite frankly haven't owned or brushed my hair in about 10 years. . . So I have to say I absolutely love the feeling of the bristles on my scalp . . .

So here is the funny part. During one of my brushings I decided to brush my Siberian Husky. He was having a moment of pure glee feeling the brush run through his long fur. Next, I thought okay I am going to try brushing my Irish Setter, since the only way we can get her brushed is spending lots of money at the groomer. I actually got her to sit still long enough to brush out her very long silky fur. . .

My husband was a bit dismayed because when I caught him using my hair brush after I bought it, I banned him from using it and here I was using it to brush the fur kids. We love the brush and I may have to buy a second one soon, one for the humans and one for the dogs.

I have owned the same widu hairbrush for the past 13 years and it was worth every penny. I am treating myself to a new one and getting one for my 4 year old daughter who has long, fine hair just like mine. -- DB

The Widu Brush is a miracle. I have very fine thin hair. Every time I brushed I lost a lot of hair. The Widu Brush is an absolute miracle for me. The child-size is perfect for my fine thin hair. Thank you so much. -- ES

After much debate 'Forty bucks for a hairbrush! What am I, crazy! I decided to follow my heart and purchase a brush. Wondering if my experience would be anywhere near the rave reviews mentioned, I pulled the brush through my waist-length hair for the first time. After watching several strokes pass in the mirror, I caught a glimpse of the expression on my face: sheer rapture! I was totally immersed in the experience of watching the lengthy bristles touch rather than stab! my scalp and flex -- even squeak! -- as I brushed. Ahhhh.... A totally nurturing experience. Nearly better than... well, you know. Thank you for offering such a lovely product. I look forward to many years of enjoyment with it. -- SC, Springboro, PA

I fell in love with the Widu hair brush the first time I used it. It's wonderful! I never knew that a brush could be so great! Thank you. -- DB, Ann Arbor, MI

I can't believe I lost my brush! After hunting around and moaning for 3 weeks, I'm giving in and ordering a replacement. I tried a wooden hairbrush from another source -- no comparison! There is no substitute! -- HM, Camas, WA

OK, love this brush so much I am now sending it to my family as gifts. -- SG

These brushes and combs were developed by an Italian hair stylist who felt that boar bristles and nylon bristles had the tendency to both scratch the scalp and tear the hair. A Widu brush is made with neither animal by-products nor synthetic materials. The non-treated wooden bristles gently massage the scalp, moving natural oils through the hair. The combination of wood and natural rubber (the bristles' base) inhibits static and helps prevent flyaway hair. When exposed to a blow dryer, the brush stays cool; when the hair is wet, the wooden bristles glide easily through the tangles. Made entirely by hand in an Italian family business, it is easily cleaned with mild soap and water. (Each brush will appear to have a bristle missing, which allows for air flow.)
