I purchased this because of the write-up about how much the dogs of the explanation enjoyed and benefited from this item. Unfortunately my dogs just push it aside and don't like to lay on it. It seems nice and soft to me. It's not the fault of the product my dogs don't like it.

My 60 pound Siberian Husky cross loves her mat! She's aging and I'm sure it feels good to her joints.

I bought this for my dog as he's just getting old and appears to have some aching bones. He's had some trouble with seizures, so I thought this might help him calm down a little. He doesn't always want to lay on it like some of the other reviews note, but he does like to lay in his bed more often than prior. I think if I placed it in a sunny spot he'd be there all the time. Washed up pretty well, too, so very pleased.

I bought this for my daughter's dog. She is 15 12 years old and has a few medical issues. My daughter tells me that she lays on this and seems to get relief from it. I would recommend this for anyone with a dog who has medicalpain issues.

Mat was too small and very thin. Didn't see how it would help our 13 yr old Lab's arthritis . I sent it back immediately. Still waiting for a refund. It's been almost 3 weeks.

My 17 year old cat, Patty, sleeps comfortably and often on "her" mat. There's definitely a warmth factor that helps her old bones relax, and she also happily sits there when awake and watching the world go by. I have two mats so one is in the wash. A few hours in sunshine restores it's heat capabilities, and the fabric stays soft and thick. I think this is a wonderful aid for older animals, who appreciate this extra care for their comfort. I hear long purring sessions often. I highly recommend this product.

Our bully who has hip dysplasia deems to love the blanket. She lays on it all the time. We haven't had it long enough to know how it will handle washing and recharging the energy. It is a little lighter than we expected. That is neither good nor bad.

Purchased for several fur kidz (2 of the 3 are considered "older") and they seem to appreciate the benefits. A popular spot with all of them now!

I got this for my older lab/shepherd dog to lay on while on her bed but have found that my two year old terrier keeps stealing it and using it as her "blankie" what a kick!

I was very happy with my recent purchase. My dog, Abbey, immediately went to this blanket and lays on it all the time. I think it is helping her tired achy bones. Thank you

I can only rate this a four because my dog doesn't talk. What I like the best about this mat is that I can move it around easily. In the evening I put it on the couch and at bedtime it moves to the foot of my bed. It isn't at all lumpy and doesn't take up a lot of room. I can't tell if it's therapeutic for my dog, but I like knowing I am giving her the best care I can.

Don't really know, my cat still prefers my bed. She hasn't really gravitated towards this and hasn't laid on it but once.

My dog has very bad arthritis in his hips and has been having a hard time climbing stairs and getting into bed or on the couch. I bought this for him for Christmas and normally, he just wants toys and wouldn't pay attention to something like this. As soon as we laid it out on the floor, he walked over, sniffed it, and laid down! I was thrilled! It must be doing something right!

Our cats seem ambivalent to the pad, but occasionally use it. not sure whether it really performs as advertised.

So far my cats love this item. One drawback is putting it in the sun for an hour or two each month, but if it makes my elderly cats feel better, that is worth it. They only sleep on it if it is cold though...

My dog lays on this mat most of the day. He has trouble with his back leg. No limping around since this mat arrived. Thanks!

My geriatric kitty wasn't so sure of this at first, but that only lasted about a day. Now he's always lying on it -- usually right next to his much younger kitty sibling.

I was concerned at first when Willie, our Yorkiepoo, woudn't go near the blanket, but when I put it on my bed he warmed up to it and now loves it. He will sleep all night on it, or wrapped in it and seems to be limping less the next day. I have to admit that since I bought two, one for the bedroom and one for the family room couch, that I have tried sitting on it several times. It actually lessens my back pain quite nicely!! So I know he is getting some benefit!! Great product, so glad to have found it!

I bought the large so that a couple of my senior dogs could share the space and they do. They seem to like laying on it. Too early to see if it is helping with their stiffness, but as long as they are using it, I am happy!

Guy is a15 year old Bichon. His vet says he is amazing for his age. He is stiff sometimes from arthritis. This mat has become his favorite place to lay and I think it helps his arthritis problems.

Dog won't lie on it. He uses it as a kind of place mat for trying to get to treats in hollow marrow bones that I give him to keep him busy sometimes...

We are all guilty at times of being skeptical about product claims. We have a 14 year old arthritic dog and are trying to make him as comfortable as possible, so we ordered the Therapeutic blanket. We placed it on a large pillow bed in our family room. Buddy almost never slept on this pillow as it required him to step up 2 or 3 inches to get on it. Almost at once he started sleeping on the pillow. We also put the blanket on his nighttime bed. This morning he actually stood in the family room and seemed to be "waiting" for the blanket to be brought out so he could lay down. He obviously likes it. I am thinking of ordering another one so we don't have to keep transferring it back and forth.

I was thinking I was getting a softly cushioned mat for my dog with some sort of therapeutic filling that kept her cool and comfy. Instead - a thin, felt-like batting arrived. I kept it because I was too lazy to return it...

I am a 12 year old Cockapoo, and my mom bought me this new bed. I was a little suspicious at first, but she was right, I just had to give it a chance. Wow, it is my favorite place now. Thanks!

Our customers have had great results with our charcoal supports so when the company that makes them came out with a way to give pets the same benefits, we jumped on it. Read more...

Bamboo charcoal (which comes from sustainable forests in Asia) emits far-infrared rays as well as negative ions to bring circulating warmth, muscle relaxation, and anti-inflammatory effects to help melt away discomfort animals might suffer due to old age, hip dysplasia, and joint stiffness. Combine that charcoal with layers of soft fleece and you have the perfect pet mat. The mat also helps absorb odor and dander and protects your furniture. The other nice thing is that it is machine washable and dryer safe. Every 3 months, put the mat outside in direct sunlight for an hour or two to recharge it.

My 15-year-old cat loves this mat and spends all day, every day curled up on it. My dogs also sleep on their mats -- I put mats over their beds and they are choosing to sleep there instead of jumping into bed with us! So I know my pets are enjoying them and getting the healing benefits.
