By NOT a Sleep CD
I am familiar with Yoga Nidra and was excited to find one that said it would reduce anxiety. Since anxiety is often a reason I have trouble getting andor staying asleep I thought this would be perfect. Unfortunately, it is a CD that tells you to use it as an early in the day meditation. I was very disappointed.

I have been practicing yoga nidra for decades. After the recent deaths of both my parents I have experienced anxiety. This CD, rather than bringing relaxing yoga "sleep," brings fear and more anxiety. The introductory sessions on body awareness are great. However, the visualizations are way too negative and nightmare inducing. I can not recommend this CD.

Bought this cd along with sleep drops for my sister who has trouble sleeping - and guess what - IT WORKED. Was so happy to hear that she had a good night's sleep.

Extremely happy with this purchase. It's an unusual combination of imagery, breathing and experiencing positive/negative feelings simultaneously. It took me three tries to stay awake through the whole thing, but once you get the knack it's very freeing and makes you feel wonderfully relaxed. I plan to use it frequently and I feel very confident it will lead to physical and emotional healing. GOOD JOB!!!

By soothing the spirit
I did not like this CD at all. I have other Yoga Nidra CD's and have really benefitted from them, so I was excited to find another one when I saw this CD advertised. I found it somewhat disturbing, confusing, and no way that one could relax into it in any way. I am not even keeping it. I imagine there must be other people who might like and enjoy it, so this is only my own experience. It definitely not reduce anxiety in my case, but probably give me more anxiety.

Awesome! I never have trouble sleeping but I sleep even deeper. My husband has anxiety that affects his sleep and with only a week of using this, he is starting to see a difference

I have trouble sleeping through the night. When I awaken at 3 a.m. or so, my mind jumps from one fretful thought to the next and returning to sleep is impossible. The "Soothing the Spirit" CD helps to calm both my body and mind.
