Procrastination rarely leads to a good place. On a small scale, it can lead to hurt feelings, guilt, and depression, and it can all too easily escalate into failed relationships and careers, financial problems, health issues, and on and on. I've always thought if there were a magic wand to empower us to deal with issues now instead of ''later,'' the world would be such a happier place.
This CD has been the closest thing to a magic wand for me when it comes to procrastination. It's a guided self-hypnosis program that draws upon cutting-edge research to help free you from procrastination. The program features two hypnotic guided imagery tracks, plus a separate track of affirmations. Listening to it regularly will help you break large goals into discrete, manageable tasks; sharpen focus and concentration; clearly visualize the completed goal; increase feelings of confidence; and form healthy, well-timed work habits.
The creator of this program, Traci Stein, PhD, MPH, is a practicing psychotherapist and Columbia-trained clinical psychologist, ASCH-certified in clinical hypnotherapy. She sees patients for general, health, and pain management psychotherapy. She is the former Director of Integrative Medicine in the Department of Surgery at Columbia University, and has combined integrative therapies, including hypnosis, with conventional medical and psychotherapy practice, in addition to being a topic expert for Psychology Today. We're very pleased to add this CD to our collection of guided imagery recordings.
