Many people have commented about this necklace. Unfortunately, I seem to be allergic to something in the chain, so I have stopped wearing it.. I do love the design, and am so pleased that it was made in Maine - thus, made in America!

I love it and get compliments everyone time I wear it. It's different from other nautilus necklaces because it doesn't hang from the point.

This pendant was even more beautiful than it appeared in the catalog. The enclosed card with the nautilus shell sentiment was exactly what I desired when giving the pendant as a gift.

A major hit with my wife! She wears it all the time amidst compliments from her friends. She did need to use a longer chain.

The deep symbolism of the nautilus shell makes this pendant the perfect gift for anyone committed to personal growth and renewal. While the ancient nautilus shell is a symbol of proportional perfection, making it outwardly beautiful, what makes it so inspiring to me is its metaphor for our lives. Read more...

As the inhabitant of this pearl-lined shell matures, it outgrows its current chamber and shifts to a larger one (which it had been creating during its growth). While still connected to its outgrown chamber, it cannot return to it, and if it remained, it would die. In this process, the created shape approximates the Phi spiral, a key element of sacred geometry. Without getting too technical, Phi is found in all organic structures, from our bone structure to the seed pattern of a sunflower. (It really is quite fascinating to read about.)

Made by renowned artist Ken Kantro, this elegant pewter pendant reminds me of the sacred beauty in life and to be grateful for my past experiences because they have created where I am today. As I prepare to embrace the next segment of my life, I'm reminded that renewal is a gift of creation. May our ''chambers'' keep growing forever and may we always recognize the beauty in the process. Comes on a pewter-finished chain.
