I bought these three books to give as a gift to someone who is temporarily disabled from foot surgery. She likes them very much and uses them to color in when she gets tired of doing jigsaw puzzles or reading. They're really very lovely and of excellent quality. I also got her the Prismacolor colored pencils so she would have the correct tools for coloring the beautiful mandalas. I may get some for myself sometime in the future.

I love these adult coloring books. My son has undergone several heart procedures, including two open heart surgeries and this is how I make it through, coloring! I have also gifted these to friends facing difficult issues. They really do help with stressful situations.

I bought coloring mandalas #2. When they're finished, I use them to wrap small gifts. I also try to use my left (non-dominant) hand on a few pages. It's supposed to keep your brain young. Whatever works!

The mandala designs in this book were exactly what I was looking for -- very geometric and beautiful. I am looking forward to coloring in it!

This was a gift to an older friend who has poor health. He seemed rather enchanted with the idea of using this to be artistic and to find some relaxation. It was a hit.

Hard to decide who to give these to as a gift since it will require taking time to color some of the intricate designs. Love the books though and am anxious to give one to my Psychic instructor who I have been with for over 5 years.

I love these coloring books. I particularly like the more non-figured mandalas in Book 2. I find them fun and challenging and it's so rewarding to play with color and design.

I've been homesick for the past several months, and this book has been a godsend. The time just flies by as I enjoy coloring these beautiful designs. I just placed an order for the other two books.

Like many people, I have particularly stressful events/days. I have found myself thinking "All you need is some 'me time' with your mandalas." It ranks with meditation for me and is sometimes much better because I'm drawn into the activity and my mind is quieted.

I love coloring these Mandalas. It brings to me a quality of meditation which helps me to relax and let go of the events of the day. I can just let go and be present along with releasing a sense of creativity. Susanne Fincher does a beautiful job in designing the mandalas. I personally like Book number two because of the designs.

I colored one of these mandalas one night, right before I fell asleep. I wasn't being serious about it at all -- just having fun. What a surprise to encounter the mandala in my dreams that night! Read more...

The circular shape was like a doorway, an opening into a wall. Beyond that wall I could see a child, and most importantly, I could feel a searing anguish of loss and pain. I woke up and realized that it was a level of pain I had never allowed myself to feel about my mother dying. The mandala seemed to cut a hole in the wall of resistance, and let me feel it! I thought I was just playing, and, instead, I received a very powerful healing gift. Needless to say, I got hooked on these remarkable coloring books.

The sacred art of mandala-making is found in all cultures and traditions, and is a universal human experience of unity and wholeness. Coloring a mandala focuses the attention and nourishes the psyche and senses. Such an activity is deeply relaxing and fulfilling, not to mention healing, as with my experience. In Coloring Mandalas 2, Fincher offers 72 mandalas, which are all based on the stage of completion, synthesis, and fulfillment (most of the mandalas from world religions represent this stage). This wonderful volume offers hours of nourishment and fun, and the chance to find your own remarkable experiences of healing and spiritual renewal.
