An encouragement for all to slow down, be calm and live in the moment. For those who have been to Chartres, a daily reminder of the awe inspiring experience of the cathedral itself.

Beautiful, unique piece of artwork. Can be used just as a display piece OR as I intend to use it a true finger labyrinth. That is the reason for the 4 out of 5 - in some places the grooves are not wide enough or deep enough for my finger to stay in the path while tracing, especially when doing a meditation with my eyes closed. I would not trade this hand crafted piece for a molded piece of plastic or perfectly machined piece of wood. The uniqueness from the hand crafting gives it a special feel and adds to the meditation process. Thank you for sharing your soul work, that I may use it on my journey.

I have long admired this labyrinth dish and purchased it for my birth day. It is a perfect size for my hand and I find it helps immensely to focus when I meditate, or calm me when stressed. Beautiful crafting and look forward to using it daily!

I bought two of your Labyrinth Prayer dishes. They are amazing. I used mine and it is the best tool I have found for centering prayer. I gave the second one to my priest and he just sent me a note saying how wonderful it is and how much he loves it. It is beautiful and holding it in my hands is amazing. Thank you for the wonderful piece, which is so much more than art. I am sure I will order others and share it with other friends.

Another beautiful item! Gleaming pewter that nestles comfortingly in the palm smooth grooves that can be traced with a fingertip back inscribed with the reflection verse in a circular pattern. Gave two of these as gifts and they were joyously received. Need to order another for self!

I really love this bowl. However, I just wish it were a little bigger. I'm not a large person and the pathways are not the width of my finger. It would be nice to really be able to trace the maze with my fingertip.

The portability of this labyrinth allows the user to have the meditative experience of "walking" a labyrinth in any setting at any time. A valuable aid to meditation.

I had looked at this item for at least a year to order...This Christmas, my husband asked what I wanted and I immediately thought of this! LOVE it! It has become a part of my daily time with God. A great focusing aid. I use it with my eyes closed, meditating as I get to the center - have a time of prayer and a time of quiet as I find the path out with eyes closed. Did I say I loved this Absolutely!!

My wife, who is blind, uses the Labyrinth Dish every day as a meditation aide. She loves how it warms to her touch, the longer she holds it. It is well made, and very portable. It is a first rate item. Also, thanks again for the wonderful customer service. You are warm, friendly and professional. These are traits that one seldom sees anymore .

I love my finger labyrinth! I have given it as a gift and plan to give more. It is so great for a centering exercise, especially if time is short. For those who worry that their fingers don't fit in the groove I say Whose would I take my time and use my fingertips, paying close attention to each turn, stopping when I'm unsure, waiting until I can feel the direction I should go. At first, I just looked to see, which is OK. It is beautiful and well made to last a lifetime.

Fits nicely in the palm of your hand so that you can trace the pathway with your finger on the other hand. Small and compact so I can take it with me in my purse.

Beautiful piece of art. I only wish it also came in a larger size. So lovely sitting on my desk between uses.

This dish was delivered to a friend as a gift. I never saw it, but the second-hand review was glowing. I hear that it brought a tear to the eye.

Packaging was nice. Was not impressed with quality of piece. Didn't realize that it was a mass produced piece. Quite disappointed in that respect.

I love starting my day with prayer and the labyrinth bowl. It seems to potentate the energy of my prayers. I'd like one for every room!

I got this as a way to begin a practice of meditation. It's a nice piece - heavy and solid. I think it might be a challenge for someone with larger fingers - mine are a women's 78 for gloves and my fingers slip a bit in some of the grooves. I am learning to relax enough to meditate more while doing the pathway. I think this will be a helpful and good addition to my developing spiritual practice. I also like the fact that I've been to Chartres and so this connects me to a good memory as well.

This is beautiful, warm, and inviting to the hand to hold, to contemplate--the reverse side is lovely too--I won't say what it is so it can be a pleasant surprise to the next purchaser. I love this.

Absolutely lovely work. I bought this for children, but find it equally satisfying for myself. The groove is the perfect size for your forefinger. The whole dish fits in one hand and is beautiful to look at. I also have the bowl which fits in the hand so nicely and is a simpler more spiral pattern, but the curve of the bowl is tricky. I tend to do it with my thumb. The bowl sits on my desk at work. The dish is in the prayer basket in my Sunday School room. The dish is easier for children. I'm sure to order more as gifts. Thank you.

This is so beautiful that when I first took it out of the box, it brought tears, which is not at all usual for me. I was concerned that the tracks would be too small to be usable, but they are just right. It feels really good in the hands. And warm, too. How is that even possible for metal. Simply perfect.

The labyrinth, having just one path (unlike a maze), inspires confidence and calms even those in the throes of life transitions. It does not ask us to engage our thinking minds in order to be present with it. It holds a quiet, safe place for the intuitive, symbolic mind to come forth and be more present than it may ever get a chance to be. And perhaps most importantly, it helps us see our lives in the context of a path, a pilgrimage. Amidst all of the twists and turns of the labyrinth, its one path leads to the center. Read more...

(The labyrinth on the wall of Italy's St. Lucca Cathedral is believed to be the oldest wall labyrinth, dating from the ninth century. Here, pilgrims traced the path with their fingers before entering the cathedral as a way of quieting the mind before entering sacred space.)

Using a finger labyrinth is surely a form of meditation. While you trace along the carved grooves, your mind can empty, knowing that the path predictably leads to the center and then out again. (Using the non-dominant hand for tracing engages your intuitive, receptive side and offers a balancing for the two hemispheres of the brain as well.) This pewter Labyrinth Dish is hand-finished, oxidized, and polished with the care of an artist who takes pride in her work. Small, yet intricately detailed, it invites you to take a deep breath and find a few moments in your day to slowly run your finger along the path. Centering and elegant, it provides a sophisticated reminder that there is more to your life than what might meet the eye in any hectic moment. These words are engraved on the back of the dish in a spiraling circle: "be still and know that I am still and know that I still and know that still and know still and still and... be"
