Over six years ago, when I was massaging my breasts and felt a tiny lump the size of a lentil, I wasn't too concerned because I had just had a clear mammogram two weeks prior. When this lump grew to the size of a large walnut shell within a couple more weeks, I called my doctor. Despite the ''clear'' mammogram, I found out I had Stage 2, Grade 3 breast cancer. As a breast cancer survivor of six years now, I cannot encourage you enough to take matters into your own hands (literally!) and get to know your breasts. Had I not been in the habit of massaging them regularly, I may have experienced a very different outcome. (Many pre-menopausal women’s breasts are too dense for mammograms alone to detect abnormalities.)
This is the balm I use to massage my breasts (which are now post-menopausal!). It's made with a nurturing blend of sweet almond oil, wildcrafted Lady's Mantle, beeswax, vitamin E, and pure essential oils of rose geranium, labdanum, and rose otto, a formula designed to tone and rejuvenate your breasts. By massaging your breasts, you're supporting breast health by stimulating circulation and eliminating toxins through the lymph tissues. Most importantly, you’re getting to know them so you’ll be able to detect any abnormalities early on. My hope is that you'll use this balm not out of fear, but as a tool for health and a way to celebrate your breasts as the miracles they are.
