Accomplishing More by Doing Less
Marc Lesser
|
Who wouldn't appreciate at least a little more time to accomplish everything we think we need to accomplish? How many of us say ''Busy!'' when someone asks us how we are? And (be honest), how many of us connect our self-worth to the degree to which we are busy at least a little? I was taught that ''idle hands are the devil's workshop'' so you can bet I cram lots into my day and then feel OK about myself because I've stayed busy. Even if your own scenario isn't quite this extreme, there's a chance that you believe one of the mantras of our culture: that ''busy is good'' and that the more you accomplish, the better person you are. Just about any book you pick up that claims to help you accomplish more and keep your sanity at the same time is all about doing more, and it'll tell you exactly how to do it.
