Ever since customers began asking us for sea buckthorn products, we've been on a quest. After taking two of these vegetarian softgels daily (the recommended dose) for one month, I see a noticeable difference in my hair. Interestingly, the scientific name for the sea buckthorn shrub, ''Hippophae Rhamnoides,'' means ''makes horses shine.'' In ancient times, when battle-worn horses were released where sea buckthorn grew, the horses would emerge with shiny coats after feeding on the berries. It's no wonder considering the incredibly high amounts of Omega fatty acids (3, 6, 7, and 9) in these berries. Not only is this beneficial for your hair, but it's equally effective in making your skin and nails healthy and strong.

Omega 7 is found in abundance only in sea buckthorn and macadamia nuts (although if I were to eat as many macadamia nuts as it would take to make my hair shiny, I'd be as big as a horse!). Sea buckthorn is found throughout Asia, but the wild crafted berries in these softgels are harvested by hand in Himalayan mountain villages, giving hope to the villagers in Tibet who are paid fair-trade wages.

Scientific studies have identified more than 190 biologically active nutrients in the berries, including vitamins A, B1, B2, C, D, K. Studies also cite the benefits of the sea buckthorn berry in preventing constipation and in signaling the body to stop storing unnecessary fat. I could fill the page with the documented benefits attributed to these berries, such as reduced inflammation and improved cardiovascular health, but for right now, I'm enjoying the benefits I see!

Customers have been inquiring about Dr. Oz's recommendation of one 500 mg sea buckthorn capsule daily, wondering if he is referring to the actual seed oil or the fruit oil. Although we can't speak for Dr. Oz, Sibu has informed us that the fruit oil contains all the Omega 7, which is the compound responsible for most of the benefits Dr. Oz mentions. One serving (i.e., two capsules) would be 900 mg, 80% of which is fruit oil, giving you 720 mg of the Omega 7-rich fruit oil per day.

Sales Tax

We collect sales tax based on the "ship to" address of your order. We are required to collect sales tax in California, which is where we are located. If you're shipping to California, please include tax as follows:

We don't collect tax on gift certificates.

Sales Tax Exemption

We are required by law to collect sales tax on any orders going to California. If you are a tax-exempt organization, we need to have a copy of the Exemption Certificate issued to you by the State of California on file before you can order tax-free. Return Policy

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 4 months for a refund of the item price or an exchange for another item. For items returned after 4 months, we will give you a Chinaberry credit for the purchase price. On the back of your invoice, we provide you with a return form to complete. Please include it with your returned item(s). If an item is defective or if the order was filled incorrectly, we will send you a prepaid return label. If you have lost your return form, click here to print one out. We will do our best to handle the transaction quickly and in accordance with your wishes.
